 Speakers Corner
A Speakers' Corner is an area where public speaking is allowed. The original and most famous is located in the north-east corner of Hyde Park in London. Speakers there are allowed to speak as long as the police think their speeches lawful or if they hear profanity. In the past there have been a number of other areas designated as Speakers' Corners in other parks including Finsbury Park, Clapham Common, Kennington Park and Victoria Park.
Some of the notable speakers have been Donald Soper, Heiko Khoo, Representatives of Socialist Party of Great Britain, Representatives of Socialist Studies and Ishmahil Blagrove. For visitors it is important to note that Speakers are there only on Sundays.
Australia, Canada, Netherlands, Singapore, Trinidad and Tobago and Thailand also have The Speakers' Corner.
