 Globe Theatre London
Shakespeare's Globe Theatre was built in 1997 was designed by Pentagram design studio and is located in London Borough of Southwark. It is situated 230 meters for the site of the original Globe Theater of the 16th century.
The reconstruction was so extensive and carefully researched that the new building is almost a 100% replica of the original. Some of the additions to the original design are addition of lights, water sprinklers on the roof to protect against fire, visitors centre and additional backstage support area. The theater has a seating capacity of 1,380 guest and 500 standing capacity in the pit. Each year the theatre season runs from April to October.
It’s a paradise for visitors looking for theatrical performances on the productions of the works by Shakespeare and modern authors. The theater entertains an audience of more then 350,000 in each season.
