London is a city which has a history of change, resonance and a unique spirit to rise from the ashes. The city was nearly destroyed in the Great Fire, Adolf Hittler tried to raise the city to ground but the city has always fought back.
London is truly a world city, one of the key financial centre’s. It is home to the oldest underground railway transport system in the world. It spans over 600 sq miles and is the capital of United Kingdom and has a population above 7.5 million. London is on road to become the first city in the world to host Olympics thrice when it plays as the host city for the Games of the XXX Olympiad.
The London underground system which is also known as The Tube takes visitors to almost any party of the city within minutes. Majority of Londoners use the underground system and the prices are reasonable.

There are over 250 museums in London and is also home to more then 100 other places of tourism. Most famous are the four World Heritage Sites – Kew Gardens, Maritime Greenwich, Palace of Westminster, and the Tower of London. The British Museum, one of the greatest museums on earth is London’s most popular visitor attraction.
Tate Modern has over six million visitors, second only to the London Museum. The London Eye since its addition is a jewel in the crown and is the leading paid attraction. Madam Tussaud’s gives you a chance to mingle with your favorite celebrity wax figures. London has the greatest concentration of major attractions in Britain, with nine of the top ten located in the capital city. Out of the ten most popular museums in the world, London is home to four of them.
London is just not about museums, commercial buildings and historical monuments, it’s also home to some of the most beautiful gardens. Hyde Park and Regent Park are the largest gardens in the city and also provide a great place for picnic’s or even for someone who loves to take a walk in the greens away from the concrete jungle.
