 London Dungeon
The London Dungeon is a tourist attraction that is a combination of real history, horror and humor and I located at Tooley Street. It shows the various forms of tortures during the Medieval Age, while a mix of live actors and special effect bring the events back to life. It was opened in 1976 and since then has drawn visitors from world over.
The London Dungeon is truly a breathtaking experience, where shock and the surprise element stays with the visitor till he takes his last step out. London Dungeon awaits to scare the life out of its visitors, to confront there fears, and to make them face there worst nightmares.
As it is said abut the dungeon “Be warned....at the London Dungeon you are more than a mere spectator!”.
Some of the attractions at the dungeon:
The torture theme gets you petrified even before the first attraction starts. The first attraction at the dungeon is Labyrinth of the Lost. As the name suggests it’s a maze made of large mirrors and is themed around the crypt of All Hallows Church in London. The keeper of the maze gives the visitors an introduction of the crypt and leads them to the maze. Visitors are then left to wander with unexpected characters jumping around and scaring the visitors. The end of the maze leads the visitors into the next attraction The Great Plague.

The set of this attraction takes visitors to 1665, when the Great Plague of London happened. One can see the horrors and agony of death caused by the bubonic plague. One can experience the actual scene what happened in London at that time including the death cries, the foul smell, dead people being moved around and also how the cruel doctors worked on the patients.
Jack the Ripper is the most famous of all, the first serial killer of London when the killings happened in 1888. He was never caught and still remains a mystery. The visitors are taken to the setting of the murders, where he killed five prostitutes. One can actually see the crime scene and are also made to look at suspects while the murderer still roams loose. What’s more terrifying is that he can still attack you.
