 London Day Trip
There are some great day trips one can plan on a London holiday, especially to Bath, Gravesend and Oxford. Bath which is a World Heritage Site and its history goes back to the time of Roman occupation of England. It’s located hundred miles from London offers Medieval architecture building and also has a roman bath. It’s also the oldest tourist destination in England. Some of the places to visit in Bath are Roman Baths, Great Pulteney Street, Royal Crescent and Walcot Street.
Oxford is also another location ideal for a day trip and has the oldest university in Europe. Oxford is full of history and tradition; it also offers visitors a good shopping experience.
There are numerous theme trips that are organized in and around London. Some of the day trips are Magic of London (9 hours), The Family London & Harry Potter Tour (8 hours), Royal Botanic Gardens Kew and Osterley Park (8 hours), Warwick Castle, Stratford, Oxford and the Cotswolds (12 hours), Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and Bath (11 hours), The Garden of England (9 hours), Glastonbury, Wells, Mendip Hills (10 hours) and Cotswold Country (9 hours) to name a few. Wales and Scotland are other options but they are 3-4 days trips.
There are also some boat trips which can be a day’s trip to a few hours trip.
