 London Aquarium

The London Aquarium was opened in 1997 and is located on the ground floor of County Hall on the South Bank of the River Thames in central London. Over a million visitors visit the aquarium. Visiting the world's greatest aquarium is a magical marine life adventure and takes the visitors on an immersive and interactive journey along the Great Oceanic Conveyor.

The Aquarium’s water tanks are home to over 350 species of fish. The aquarium has three floors and the marine collection is divided into 14 different zones. The various zones are freshwater stream, Atlantic upper, rivers and ponds, Pacific upper, Indian Ocean, Atlantic lower, touch pool, temperate waters, Pacific lower, coral reef, invertebrates, tropical freshwater, mangrove and rainforest. The London Aquarium is actively in education, in breeding and conservation projects. Its dedicated to the cause of saving species of marine life which is almost extinct in there natural habitat.

Visitors to the aquarium see many different species of fishes, but there’s a new variety that has never swum any of the world’s oceans. London Aquarium unveiled a unique robotic fish swam in specially-designed tank. Three stunningly beautiful robotic fish have been created with jewel-bright scales and sinuous, astonishingly life-like movements.

A visitor would almost mistake them for a real fish aimed to mimic the undulating movement of nature. The fish possess speed of the tuna, the acceleration of a pike, the navigating skill of the eel and have autonomous navigation capabilities. The fishes have become the most popular tourist attraction in the aquarium.
