The Hampton Court Palace is located in south west London in Borough of Richmond and was constructed in 1529. One a popular residence for the British monarchy but since the 18th century, the royal family has never lived in the palace. It is also called the Lost Palace. Cardinal Wolsey a great favorite of King Henry VIII was the first owner of the palace.
As Wolsey’s popularity reduced with the kind, the palace was passed to the king and was enlarged under the royal majesty. The Royal Monarch William III always wanted to rival the French including the Versailles thus began the expansion of the palace. Though it was halted in 1694 and leaving the palace in two different architectural styles, Tudor and Baroque.
