 Abbey Road
Abbey Road is the main road located in the area of Camden and the City of Westminster and is home to the famous EMI's Abbey Road Studios where some of the renowned music artists have done studio recordings. The most famous being Beatles, who named there last studio recorded album Abbey Road in 1969. The album cover had a picture of a zebra crossing on the road and the four stars crossing it. The setting has become so iconic that reenactments of the Beatles' crossing and has become a popular photo-opportunity areas.
Abbey Road Studio was setup in 1931 by Electric & Musical Industries Ltd. or simply knows as EMI. The studio was originally started for recording classical music but during its later years it opened its doors to various music forms like rock and pop. The Beatles recorded almost all its studio material at Abbey Road Studios. Apart from the Beatles, some of the world’s greatest artists have recorded at the studio including Pink Floyd, Duran Duran, Iron Maiden, The Scorpions, Kutless, Jamiroquai, Oasis, Dido, Josh Groban,Cliff Richard, Radiohead, Al Stewart, Alanis Morissette, U2, Green Day, Peter & Gordon, Red Hot Chili Peppers and David Gilmour.
